DETROIT — A Detroit man is accused of holding a woman hostage while kicking her dog and throwing it down a flight of stairs, Wayne County prosecutors said Monday. Ryan Alexander Jones, 30, is charged with unlawful imprisonment, discharge in a building, felon in possession, felonious assault, four counts of felony firearm, cruelty to one animal and domestic violence. Jones is expected to be arraigned this afternoon in 36th District Court. According to prosecutors, Jones and his alleged victim on Saturday were in an argument that eventually escalated to Jones shooting a gun near the victim and threatening to shoot her. He also is accused of kicking the woman's dog and throwing it down a flight of steps, prosecutors said.
