Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 06/06/2021 211570918 Preliminary information:  On June 6, 2021 at around 1:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to a person shot call at the Intercontinental Hotel located at 3315 Peachtree Rd NE. Upon arrival, officers located a male with an apparent gunshot wound.  He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.  Officers detained a male on scene and Investigators were notified and will be working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.   UPDATE: Male was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The male detained was placed into custody and identified as 29-year-old Marquise Daniel, the victims brother.  He was charged with Involuntary Manslaughter and transported to the Fulton County Jail without incident.   This press release was produced by the Atlanta Police Department.
