The Utility Locator Technician will work with a company servicing Gas Pipelines in the Columbus, OH metro area. This is a Field position, responding to calls to residential and commercial properties to inspect gas lines for possible gas leaks. *Resume Required in order to apply! $15.00/hr. Office located in Gahanna area Seasonal Position: immediate hiring need - through end of November 2021 DOT Drug and Background screen will be required. OQ Certification required & costs for the course are paid for by the company! Job Duties: - Accurately detect and classify gas leaks during inspections performed inside and outside - Process required data accurately and timely - Complete required paperwork and sketches in an efficient manner and meet all required completion dates - Responsible for the proper operation, field maintenance, care and security of all assigned equipment - Achieve weekly billable goal as defined by the project guidelines - Identify and report any observed Abnormal Operating Conditions (AOCs) - Read and interpret Gas Company maps and records Qualifications: - HS Diploma or higher - Proficient general computer skills - Must pass classroom and field training for certification - Comfort working outdoors - Ability to pass criminal background and drug screen - Valid driver's license and good driving record
