Coronado CA

Description

I found a Samsung smartphone (a Galaxy, I guess, though I'm not sure) on Coronado Island at about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. It was on Ocean Boulevard (near the intersection with Loma Ave.). It looks like someone lost it while getting out of or into their car when they were parking on the ocean side of Ocean Boulevard. I don't know what model of Samsung it was. It was a larger phone, dark grey, I think, with what looked like a USB-C charging port and two camera lenses. It was not in a case and did not appear to have a screen protector. Unfortunately, it looked like someone had run over it, and the screen was severely cracked. It would power on, but nothing else was possible. I gave it to a Coronado Police officer at about 11:30 p.m. He was in his police SUV parked down by the unused gate to the Naval Base (near dog beach). I don't think it's worth anything now, but perhaps someone has photos or something else on it they'd like to try to recover. Or maybe someone had insurance that covers damage, but not theft or loss. Anyway, if you contact the Coronado police, they should have it for you.
