Looking for an individual that will tend to horses and will be our Ranch Manager. Need at least five years experience with some references. Pay will be based on experience. Housing available for the right, qualified candidate. Candidate will have to work one weekend day, on a rotating basis. Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: • Mixes feeds and supplements, feed, and waters horses. Twice a day. • Put out hay • Cleans stalls and sheds • Daily examination of horses to detect injuries or abnormalities • Applies medications to cuts and bruises • Gives medication as required (such as worming) • Assists Veterinarian in yearly vaccinations or as required • Nice to have skills: Knowledge of grooming, clipping horses for shows, trimming, tacking up horses • Maintains ranch buildings and equipment • Performs regular scheduled maintenance and simple repairs on related equipment and vehicles. • Facilities maintenance such as building and repairing fences, barns, sheds, water troughs and tanks. • Operate and repair general farm equipment. • Conduct regular pasture/brush management. Remove weeds and brush, plant seasonal forage, trim trees, mow and weed eat around facilities and out buildings Like new (three year old), nice three bedroom mobile home available on ranch for the right candidate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Se busca una persona que pueda administrar y trabajar en un rancho de caballos. Se necesita tener experiencia con caballos. Trabajar con vacas y chivos no cuenta porque esos animales reqieren diferente cuidado. Mezclar comida, darle agua y suplementos para los caballos. Darle zacate a cada caballo. Limpiar los corrales y establos. Examinar a los caballos todos los dias para detectar problemas. Aplicar medicinas. Ayudar al veterinario cuando es nesesario. Alistar los caballos para entrenadores y clientes. Poder manetener cercas, tractores, tanques de agua. Trabajo incluye vivienda en un casa mobile que tiene solamente tres anos.
