Job Description: Responsible for performing upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. Responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Perform troubleshooting and general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, drywall, painting, door, fixtures, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Perform yard work including mowing, collecting trash, snow shoveling, cleaning. Familiarity with a wide swath of commercial and residential equipment is preferred. Experience in building maintenance, light construction, electrical, auto maintenance, marine maintenance, and pool maintenance would be highly regarded. Ability to tow trailers and heavy machinery (tractors, bulldozers, dump trucks etc.) is a plus. Reliability and a sharp eye for detail is necessary. Self-motivation and the ability to work on your own is a requirement. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. The candidate must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Looking for part-time or full-time workers. Required Education / Preferred Education: High School Diploma / Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field Required Experience / Preferred Experience: 4+ years in directly related experience / 5-10+ years in directly related experience Required Skills: • Documented experience in a maintenance and groundskeeping role • Basic knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems • Experience using hand and power tools • Experience using hand and power garden equipment (mowers, trimmers, snow blowers, etc.) • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills • Prolonged periods of standing and walking • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time • Must possess a valid drivers license Preferred Skills: • Experience towing trailers • Experience using heavy machinery (tractors, bulldozers, dump trucks, etc.) • Experience with marine maintenance (boat motors and general marine upkeep) • Experience doing basic electrical work • Experience with automotive maintenance • Experience with small engine repair Location: Syracuse, NY
