Their primary responsibility is to coordinate, implement, and oversee the project, while ensuring the written plan and specifications are being met. All the while identifying how to meet and exceed construction schedules and profitability projections. The Superintendent will maintain focus on the goal of Distinctive Value to the owner. Maintaining open communication with both the Project Manager and the Owner is essential. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager/ Vice President. Primary Responsibilities: *Schedule and manage subcontractors, manage day to day paperwork and daily reports *Provide weekly schedule updates to Project Manager with a "2 week look ahead schedule" *Work with the Project Manager to identify, prepare and submit change orders for projects *Build strong client relationships *Assist Project Manager(s) by researching costs, scope or work issues, data entry of job information, and budgets *Review shop drawings/ Submittals *Performs field work including measurements, photos, reports, observations, and/or other tasks as directed *Performs quality take offs of plans under the direction of the Project Manager *Direct and constant communication with the owner's representative *Responsible for accurate maintenance of project records (As-Builts) and timely updates to the Project Manager(s) *Responsible for punch list follow up and completion, and project closeout *Improving construction methods and look for "value engineering" *Coordinate project related meetings (including: Subcontractors, assembly materials, production meeting, Tool Box Talks) *Assist with bid preparation by contacting Subcontractors, ensuring follow up and organizing bid information *Organizes information received from the Office staff and develops the job site project files *Responsible for complete project Quality Control per company standards *Basic carpentry, finish carpentry, ACT layout, door hardware, gypsum drywall, etc... as required to complete project *Self -performing as requested by management *Work nights or weekends for a project as applicable *Ability to lift 50-100 pounds *Assist in development of Assistant Superintendents, mentor as applicable *Help out other Superintendents on projects if requested *Ability to multitask *Keep records of documentation *6-10 years of experience *Working proficiency in MS Software: Project, Excel, Word and Outlook *Excellent interpersonal and communication skills *Ability to grasp analytical concepts and act upon them *Ability to work with project detail without confusion or loss of perspective *Ability to multi-task *Familiarity with plan reading *Detailed and organized *Self-motivated and independent *Team player *OSHA 30 card Reply to this post with a cover letter and resume.
