If you’ve moved up the ladder in the landscaping industry from foreman to manager and are ready to lead a large landscaping team, this position is for you. We’re looking for a production manager who enjoys training others, wants to be in the room when decisions are made, and is looking to build a stable career in a fast-growing commercial landscape company. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Production Manager is the owner of the most important division at our company: maintenance. We are looking for a Production Manager who has the skills and experience to run this division of 30 foremen and helpers autonomously. Your main responsibility will be to ensure our high quality landscape service is consistently applied across our commercial properties. What differentiates this position from every other company is that we are committed to training. Our Production Manager will spend a significant portion of their day training new hires and coaching our current team members on specific ways to improve their craft. Responsibilities Training Unlike most landscaping companies, we are strong believers in training. After interviewing new candidates, the Production Manager will spend two days training every new helper who joins our company. This position is also responsible for identifying skill gaps in the current helpers and foreman and pulling them off their crews to provide the necessary skills training. Daily schedules and dispatching The Production manager is responsible for building the next day’s maintenance schedule everyday and ensuring every property is serviced according to the contracted schedule. Additionally, the Production Manager will select the workers for each crew and ensure smooth crew launches each day by 7:35 am. Enforcing quality bar The buck stops with the Production Manager who is responsible for conducting weekly property inspections. Negative feedback received from customers will flow to the Production Manager who is responsible for fixing the acute issue and coaching the foreman to deliver our quality product every visit. Requirements Fluent in Spanish 5 years of experience as a foreman 2 years experience as a production manager managing foreman Proficient with technology (Google Sheets, tablets, and dispatching software) Valid driver’s license Job Details: This position is paid as a salaried W2 Employee 2 weeks of paid vacation are provided 6 paid holidays per year About Us We are a commercial landscaping company located in North Austin and established in 1986.
