We are looking to fully staff a brand new doggy daycare in the heart of the West Village. The shifts are 7AM- 3PM, 3PM- 11PM, 11PM-7AM, Heavy-Duty cleaner 7PM-10PM. As a Kennel Care Assistant, you will have to be able to commit to the following: 1. Be on time so that transitioning with your team runs smoothly. 2. Be prepared to deal with deep cleaning constantly. Must not be squeamish with urine, feces, vomit or blood, nor have a sensitivity to strong cleaners such as bleach. 3. Make sure you are not allergic to dogs and do not have a fear of dogs at all- especially, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, and Chihuahuas. 4. Be prepared to lift dogs and bags of dog food weighing about 50+ lbs 5. Make sure you are always prepared for all the dogs of various sizes to jump up on you when they see you, sometimes causing scratches, nips, and pushing you down. 6. Make sure you do not have a sensitivity to unpleasant smells as well as constant loud noises such as barking, howling and crying. 7. Understand that although we provide temperament tests, there is always a possibility of being bit. 8. Calling out last minute doesn't help the team. It is your responsibility to have a replacement, even in the event of an emergency. 9. Be prepared to work weekends and holidays as we are a 24/7, 365 day operating daycare. We work through all and every type of weather. 10. If you are not a self sufficient dedicated team member, Please do not apply.
