Description
Hello,
I moved back home from Los Angeles about 5 years ago, and I haven't played out much since. I'm itching to get back into a project. I've played in the mid west, Los Angeles and the East coast in a number of groups playing a wide variety of genres from Southern Gospel, Country western, reggae, improv jam bands to death metal. I've also been in a few classic rock bands playing covers from bands such as Rush, Yes, Sabbath, Boston, Kansas, Foo Fighters, RHCP, STP, Primus, sublime, no doubt, Rage Against The Machine etc. I never really got into the hairband catalogs or even learned any of it.
I love metal like any other guy and can play it, but I've just grown out of it. Furthermore, I've also grown out of the "cool" gimmick. I won't be wearing a leather vest looking like a fake tough guy. Playing 190 bpm is fun and all, but whose dancing to that? Not a lot of chicks is there? I'd rather not attend a bunch of sausage fests, if you catch my drift.
I like all kinds of music, and wouldn't mind playing some good taste easy danceable classic/90's rock/country with some other musicians or some decent originals. Sure, we could bang out some obscure songs that people don't know, but i'm leaving that to the musicians looking for their 16th band to play in this year.
What am I currently listening to?
Billy Strings
Tyler Childers
Tame Impala
Pond
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
The Mars Volta
Post Animal
The Temples
City and Colour
I have a full PA "just need a bigger board" and stage lighting to contribute.
