A rapidly growing local internet retail company is seeking qualified candidates for inventory control and purchasing positions. REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent Inventory control and/or purchasing related work experience Strong mechanical/technical skills to support other team members Must be able to demonstrate strong purchasing and inventory management experience. Job responsibilities include Inventory management: Cycle counts and inventory accuracy Setting minimum stock Setting purchase quantities for best price Setting prices Cross referencing similar inventory across multiple suppliers Pulling slow stock for return/replacement Purchasing: Managing vendor relationships Sourcing inventory purchases for best price, quality, delivery Timely ordering and follow up Managing returns for credit Other duties: Assist with fulfillment of online orders and setting inventory requirements to meet growing online retail business. Strong mechanical aptitude required. Attention to detail, problem solving, and critical thinking is necessary. Will be required to interact with customers from time to time, so customer service skills a plus. Must be computer literate. Physical effort is required to include walking, standing, stooping, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. Part time or full time. Salary or hourly rate dependent on experience.
