Endemic immaturity is the problem with America today. BOTH political parties and most politicians have reached new levels of low maturity. American adults are more immature than ever. Immaturity causes the division in this nation. Immaturity is the cause of crime in this nation. Immaturity is the cause of violence in this nation. Think about how your parents conducted themselves when they were your age now. And then think about how you act in comparison. I am not sure of the cause of immaturity, perhaps television, video games, and such contributed to the low level of immaturity. 50 years ago, middle aged men in silly bright colored T-shirts would never consider climbing the walls or breaking the widows of our capitol building. 50 years ago, politicians did not call each other childish names. 50 years ago, people treated each other with common courtesy and respect. People were civil to one another despite political views. 50 years ago, democrats and republicans each had different visions for this nation but they still worked TOGETHER for the greater good of this nation. 50 years ago, lying was frowned upon. These days, lies are tolerated. Americans are de-evolving. We eat their meals form a 7-11 or a drive thru. We watch reality TV rather than pick up a book or periodical. We share our views via tweet or Snapchat rather than having an actual face to face conversation with another human. Until Americans raise their level of maturity, America will continue to spiral in the wrong direction. If we want a strong nation, we need to grow up.
