Join us at Joel's Coffeehouse for a once in a lifetime Barista Experience! Come get behind the counter and see if you have what it takes. What to expectCoffee-lover alert! Have you ever wanted to know how baristas work that complex espresso machine? Step behind the counter and get a one-of-a-kind hands-on experience at Joel's Coffeehouse! At this event, you will learn the history of our shop, some cool facts about coffee, and the different roasts & grinds that go into our machines. You will also learn how to prepare and "pull" the perfect espresso shot and learn about milk texturing & steaming. Once you've mastered the basics, you will get to prepare your very own espresso drink of choice. Then take a sip and see if you had what it takes to become a Joel's Coffeehouse barista! About the BaristaWell, in this case, YOU are the barista! Please come wearing long pants, a short-sleeved shirt and closed toes shoes. The instruction portion of the Barista Experience at Joel's Coffeehouse will be lead by one of our very own, master baristas. Brought to you by Other DetailsReservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and non-refundable. Full payment for all classes is required at the time of registration. Price includes instruction, demonstrations, tastings, and one free medium espresso-based classic drink or one free espresso-based specialty drink from our menu. Joel's Coffeehouse reserves the right to reschedule classes not meeting enrollment standards, in which case any payment remitted will be applied to a future class date of your choice. Please be aware that our products, prepared items, and facilities may have had contact with the following food allergens: milk, wheat, peanuts, soybeans, or tree nuts. Please do not attend the Barista Experience if you have, or have been exposed to, any communicable diseases including cold, flu, etc.Please note this class requires all participants to complete and sign a release and indemnification agreement, which will be provided to you at the start of the event.Participants must be 10 years old or older. Participants between ages 10 years old and 16 years old are required to be accompanied by an adult who is 18 years old or older with the same ticket type as the child throughout the entirety of the event. Participants that are 16 years old or older, but under the age of 18 years, must have a release form signed by parents prior to the event start.
