Join food writer and Wanderlust Tours owner, Shawnie Kelley as she shares four crowd-friendly dishes that work well for a large group or just a few people. Class begins with a mayo-free potato salad that adds a French twist to an American classic using hints of white wine and tarragon. The Roasted Chicken Salad is another mayo-free recipe that's Frenchified by adding mustard and an herbaceous dressing. Serve it on baguette crisps or atop a green salad. Then learn to make the easiest Apple Fennel Slaw – a crunchy, aromatic side dish that is surprisingly fresh. The pièce de resistance of class is the Berry Galette, an open-faced pie crust loaded with fruit and almonds. You will learn the techniques for making a butter crust, rolling the pastry dough and fluting it around a heap of fruit.
