A 30 minute outdoor interactive experience offered by New Roots AME Church as part of the MFA's Juneteenth Community Celebration. Jubilee on Juneteenth: Liberating the Practice of Pentecost is a 30 minute outdoor interactive experience that honors the many ways that Africans who were enslaved subverted dominant practices of worship to connect with God, community, and nature. As you move through Jubilee on Juneteenth, you will be encouraged to dance, shout, weep, and welcome the Spirit of freedom. Please register for only one entry time: 12:00pm, 12:40pm, or 1:25pm. This event is curated and facilitated by New Roots AME Church in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Art Boston's Juneteenth Community Celebration.
