I have been racing road and mountain bikes for the last 4 years with numerous podium finishes including a state championship. More importantly, I’ve spent countless hours teaching my siblings, friends, teammates, and campers to ride and advance their skills for recreational mountain biking and racing. I am certified in Wilderness First Aid and have completed the National Interscholastic Cycling Association bike skills training for coaches. This will be my third year of coaching at NWA Girls Mountain Bike Camp. Mountain biking has some inherent risk, but my primary focus is managing these risks to provide a safe, fun environment. This camp is for girls, taught by girls. No mansplaining here! I am happy to answer any questions you have about the camp. Feel free to email me at [email protected]. – Ella Mertins
