Description

Curly was found as a stray on the street, was not chipped, and went unclaimed. The vet believes he is about 7 years old and healthy. He looks like a cocker spaniel/daschund mix to me. He is about 14 pounds. We have had him neutered, chipped, vaccinated, and he is up to date on flea treatments. Curly is very submissive around people and other dogs, but unfortunately my terrier is quite adamant about being the only dog at our house. Curly enjoys lap time and dancing for his food. He takes a treat from the hand very gently. He hasn't bothered my cats, and I think, but am not certain, that he would be fine around children that understand basic rules about not hurting animals. Curly does growl at my husband sometimes, usually when we are all getting into bed. Unfortunately it is not unusual for some dogs to be fearful of men. So it may be best to have him in an all female home, or expect to do some crate training for bedtime. He has never bitten anyone or other animals. I am certain he would be great company for a single female, especially one who works from home. Rehoming/adoption fee applies, because we want the best for him.
