The Event Management Specialist at Spintacular Entertainment is responsible for providing a consistently fun, premium client event experience. A successful candidate will understand the importance of providing hands-on exceptional customer service with an outgoing, “can do” attitude and interacting with clients in a professional and helpful manner. The candidate will be expected to drive to and from event locations across the US, and set up and facilitate events on-site. Must be a team player. Excellent organizational skills, clear communication skills both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal interaction are also a key focus of the job. Problem-solving abilities are a strong plus. Familiarity with computer operation is required. Physical ability to set up events a must. Experience with student activities and/or event management a plus. Candidates must also remain available and flexible for *extensive* year-round travel and event support. We do want candidates to know that this is not an event planning position. We are more of an event equipment rental company. The staff drives equipment to events, sets up, runs the event, and then takes it down. These events can be very physically demanding depending on the location and volunteer staff. E.i. the mobile roller rink consists of 240 panels that need to be set up and removed. Sometimes with volunteer help and sometimes just the 2 person crew is doing the work. The panels are not that heavy just 7lbs per panel but there is a bunch. Staff must be able to stay on the road up to a couple of weeks at a time. This is especially true when we fly to the west coast and do events. When employees travel we do cover travel costs plus a daily per diem for meals. Your work schedule can vary weekly. The schedule can vary depending on the time of year. August through May is our busy season with August, December, April being our very busy months. Sometimes you will have 1 event a week other times 4 to 5. It all depends on what is booked. However we do vary the schedules, if you have a really busy week or two, your next week could be really slow. Depending on the event we do have employees travel solo or in 2 person teams. So if you love to travel, can be gone from Asheville for a couple of weeks at a time, don't mind hard work, or long drives this job may be perfect for you. Must have a clean driving record. Must pass a background check and drug test. Deliver/return/perform programmed events with a positive attitude and excellent customer service Accurately completes and turns in driver trip sheets/expense reports/checklists for each job Inspects and monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage Ability to be trained on multiple event interfaces Safely and efficiently operate a Spintacular Entertainment vehicle Responsible for cleanliness and condition of equipment, work areas, and vehicles Ability to lift over 50lbs of equipment multiple times Due to the nature of the job, all employees will need a covid 19 vaccination. Most of our clients are requiring this to do an event on campus.
