We are a small self funded bird rescue. We have been doing this for approximately 10 years and have been blessed with a variety of companions from all different backgrounds. Our birds are given several hours of out of the cage time each day along with fresh food, water, & attention. Typically if we are home, our birds are out. We try not to clip wings allowing for our flock to be as “wild” as they can be in a home. For this reason we have surrounded our front & back patios with screen to avoid a possible accident. We do have experience with all sizes of birds & yes, I’ve been bitten by them all at least once. It’s okay. We understand that it happens & strive to work with each personality. I have an Instagram account set up just for our birds & you are welcome to check it out at featherbabiesrr. I have a standing offer to keep you updated as much or as little as you would prefer. Finding a new home for your feathers isn’t always easy & I’m not trying to make it harder than it needs to be. Just as an additional disclaimer. We DO NOT BREED. There are enough birds that need a home without intentionally making more. We are not hoarders. We only take in what we, as a family, can care for. Due to the # of parakeets we currently have, we cannot accept anymore, nor can we house outside birds as we are not set up for them. I am also more than happy to welcome in “found” birds and will search until the owner is located. I know this loss personally & am committed to helping these lost companions reunite with their family. Please feel free to ask questions.
