Small forestry & land management company based in Santa Fe is looking to add two additional team members, an experienced sawyer and a general laborer. We do: -Tree Removal- thinning, felling & slash management -Tree pests and wild fire risks mitigation -Soil and hydrological function management Job Duties: -Manual labor consisting of chainsaw use(sawyer only), carrying/hauling consistently 50 lb+, use of hand tools, working with forestry equipment (winches, chippers) -Use of personal protective equipment, adhering to job site safety standards -Work in occasional stressful situations Required Qualifications: -Ability to get to job sites around Santa Fe area (foothills, Canoncito, Tesuque, Hyde Park etc.) -Ability to work in adverse weather and work conditions (steep arroyos/mountainous terrain) -Ability to work as a team -Strong work ethic, safe, reliable -Willingness to learn -Sawyer applicants need professional chainsaw experience (S212 Class is a plus) Many of the skills required can be learned on the job. We are seeking individuals who enjoy working in the woods and care for the condition of our lands. $16-$22/hour DOE, pay increases with competency and reliability.
