Description

Super cool trained Healer doggie needs new home. She came to our front door a few weeks ago nearly starved. She is needs a good home who appreciates the healer breed. She is medium size, very athletic, spayed, chipped, super smart, house trained (had NO accidents!), knows hand signals, fetches and drops the ball when you say drop. She brings the ball right back to you. She is a classic healer personality, enjoys learning tricks, running and catching balls and jumping through hoops. Very friendly with all people who approached her. She is in great health, and was highly attentive to our commands. She has a very cute tail similar to a fox. She stayed by our side by day and slept on her dog bed at night. She did great inside the house and is leash trained. Rides very relaxed in the car. As a healer, she is bred to be protective of her owner (barks when someone knocks on the door). Sadly, she goes CRAZY when she sees cats, so we don't recommend a home with cats. We're not sure about how she may get along with other dogs, so will need to be slowly introduced with supervision. For this reason, she may need to be an only pet (didn't do well on first introduction to unfamiliar foster home with both dogs and cats). She can jump high so if you let her out loose in a yard, we recommend at least a 5' fence. This gentle darling is now with the City of ABQ Animal Welfare shelter. Her parents were reached, but for some unknown reason, did not claim her and she is now up for adoption. If you have a home for dear Skyler, please see her on line or go to the Albuquerque Animal Welfare shelter West Side. Her shelter number is A1193986. See her info at http://cabq.gov/.../search-for-a-lost-or-adoptable-pet. I had her checked by a vet who confirmed that she is a 3-yr-old healer/shephard mix. She is about knee high.
