Description
My daughter adopted two parakeets last summer. The birds haven't warmed up to her as she was hoping. The parakeets are in good health. We are looking to rehome them with their cage, food, and some toys we have for them. We paid almost $200 for all these items. We are looking for a $75 rehoming fee to make sure they go to a good home.
One parakeet is female (with yellow on its face), and the other is male. The female will bite if you try grabbing her. My daughter would let them out of their cage to fly around sometimes, and the female is always the hard one to get back into the cage. The male parakeet will jump her finger to be carried around.
My daughter says they don't like being in the dark, so she set up a salt lamp as a night-lite for them. They chirp actively in the late morning, but they are otherwise content. They eat regular parakeet food; they haven't liked vegetables or other bird treats my daughter has tried to give them.
