Description
Peaches and Kiwi are looking for a home. They were pulled from a feeder breeder and were underweight, loving in strong ammonia fumes.
They are both dumbo double rex rats, female, under 3 months old, now with healthy skin and putting on weight.
Peaches is a little larger, and more pink. She is the most fond of human interaction. Kiwi is more gray in the face, and is still a little nervous, but once you pick her up she is fine.
I noticed sneezing and took them in for a health check. The exotic vet wasn't sure if it's general allergies or some damage due to the horrid conditions they were rescued from, but said their heart and lungs were clear. Something to keep an eye on, and maybe try children's Benadryl.
They have a large enclosed wheel that they finally started using, with a textured surface to keep the sharp baby nails less dagger like.
They have a Critter Nation, they'll need to go with their cage unless you have the same or larger. They have started with litter box training, but definitely not there fully. Being mostly hairless, they enjoy fabric hammocks to stay warm in. I've only bathed them in water once, because they were filthy when they got here, but regular grooming for them consists of rubbing them down with olive oil, and then using a soft cloth to wipe off the dirt and excess oil. If the cage is clean, they stay pretty clean. However, their skin does collect grime and also gets dry so the occasional oil bath is appreciated.
Rehoming fee for the girls, $30
Cage is $150, but if you take them and their cage I'd drop it down to $140 for everything.
Please email me for more information on these sweet girls ❤️
