Description

He: Long-haired, skinny scaredy-cat. Has limited sight in one eye and spends his day in quiet, dark places. Slinks around when he walks. Can have a loud yowl when he's hungry. Will not let you pick him up. When he's comfortable at night he will come out and fiercely snuggle you on your bed. I wake up sometimes to him softly patting me on the face. If he lived in a dog-free home, he might feel inclined to hang out on the top of the couch or be more social. She: Short hair, chubby, velvety soft kitty. Was dropped off at Dove Lewis as a tiny baby after someone stepped on her head. Her eardrum was collapsed on that side and her jaw was broken. Her goofy but gregarious and sweet personality leads us to believe she has a slightly squished brain. One eye does not always close properly. She is currently my office assistant and comes and begs for a lap several times a day. She holds him down and fiercely grooms him sometimes. Literally the best cat we've ever had. They have been with us since they were both six weeks old and they bonded to each other immediately. They often curl up together. They are seeking a new home because we moved into a much smaller house and our dogs guard the cats' access to their food, water, and litterbox. We have tried everything but the situation is not working. Our son is settling down with a girl that is highly allergic to cats and we can never have her in our home. We are heartbroken over these sweet babies and want them to have a good life together. They are 95% indoor kitties - in our new home they have access to a pet door to the backyard, but they are unskilled in the ways of being outside and would prefer a quiet indoor only home with easy access to food, water, a litterbox, and a lap to curl up on. If allowed to go outside, should be kept in a safe, quiet yard. They will catch mice and bring them inside to play with. We can provide with their scratching post and litterboxes to get the new home started so they have some familiarity. Rehoming fee will apply.
