10yr old Dachshund Mix Rehoming

Our sweet Ella is a 10 year old Dachshund mix who we adopted from the Jacksonville shelter when she was 3. She has gone through 3 moves with us and raising 2 children. She's very well behaved and housebroken and crate trained. She just wants to snuggle up with someone and be loved on. Unfortunately we are moving overseas and taking her with us isn't feasible for us. We will be very picky and meticulous about who she gets rehomed with since we want to still get updates on how she is doing from time to time. We think she would do best in an elderly couple home, but it isn't necessary. She only gets along with female dogs her size, not sure about cats, and she doesn't care for children that mess with her so I'd prefer no children just to be safe. We are located in Jacksonville currently and will be leaving in July so we have all of June to interview people.
