We have 2 ferrets whose lives we have saved. One of them we got from a shelter and it turned out he had bot fly larvae under his skin and an amazing rescue did emergency surgery and saved him. We saved them with knowing there was a possibility they wouldn't be with us permanently. And they just aren't a good fit for our family.
