That’s a lie. The article is biased and politically motivated. “ Their research into whether voting rights notification laws increase ex-felons' voter turnout found that in three states — New York, New Mexico and North Carolina — a majority of ex-felons registered post-incarceration as Democrats. The breakdown was as follows: New York, 61.5 percent Democrat, 9 percent Republican; New Mexico: 51.9 percent Democrat, 18.9 percent Republican; and North Carolina, 54.6 percent Democrat, 10.2 percent Republican.” And.. “ Morse pointed to the book "Locked Out: Felon Disenfranchisement and American Democracy" — written by Jeff Manza of New York University and Christopher Uggen of the University of Minnesota — which he said estimated that about 73 percent of ex-felons would vote Democratic.‘ From https://www.inquirer.com/philly/news/politics/factcheck/FactCheck_Are_most_violent_criminals_Democrats.html ____________________________________ A survey of 8000 felons in 500 jails found: “ The survey was distributed in March 2020. Of White respondents, 36% identified as Republicans, 30% Independent, and 18% Democrats. Only 11% of Black respondents identified as Republicans, while 29% identified as Independent and 45% as Democrats.” From— https://www.prisonlegalnews.org/news/2020/aug/1/survey-8000-prisoners-political-views-finds-surprising-results/ —————- ————————— Finally look at the chart. In the swing state of Ohio the most Republican county is Mercer at 77% conservatives. Yet notice democrats commit the overwhelming majority of violent crimes. The only web sites I can find that have any discussion suiting your articles claim are opinion based like Google groups and Reddit. It is a bizarre assertion to say most serial killers are Republican when all other statistics point otherwise. Your link simply goes to a wiki on Dennis Rader, I see no evidence at all to support the 80% claim. Currently Sam Little is the most prolific US serial killer and If he is a Republican I’d be highly surprised.
