We are searching for new pet care counselors for Sweet Paws Retreat in the Yorkville / Oswego area. Previous pet care experience is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities include employee interacting with the customers, and assisting with the well-being of the dogs and cats in our care. This includes walking, cleaning, feeding, and providing medications as instructed by their owners. Attention to detail is important! A passion for animals is essential. After all, what could be better than playing with dogs and cats all day? Qualifications: Exceptional people skills—strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Enthusiasm and passion for animals Ability to take initiative and problem solve Ability to work both independently and with a team Excellent organizational skills Ability to multi-task and maintain composure while switching between tasks efficiently in a rapidly-changing environment Responsibilities: Help maintain a friendly, yet efficient work environment Build friendly and professional relationships with our customers Walking, cleaning, feeding, and providing medication to the pets as instructed Manage and respond to the operational needs of our facility Answer phones and offer general information about services provided Schedule and maintain appointments for each pet Assist with evaluation and onboarding of new dogs, including analyzing their behavior and how well they play with others Hours are flexible.
