Description
Join A Boy and His Dream founder Sunny Akhigbe as he shifts the vibe to POSITIVITY and UNITY in this 45 minute HIIT workout. Join A Boy and His Dream for an epic "outdoor" workout to help raise funds for the A Boy and His Dream scholarship fund. We are excited to welcome everyone to this special outdoor fundraiser. This is our first outdoor event of 2021! All Proceeds go to the A Boy and His Dream Scholarship Fund for College Students. Vaccinated attendees are not required to wear a mask. If you have not been vaccinated, we ask that you please wear a mask throughout the entire event. Please bring a mat, towel, water, and mask (if not vaccinated). What sets our Foundation apart is the fact that President, Sunny Akhigbe, is someone who has lived, walked, and experienced the devastation of opposition, adversity and a troubled beginning. Through his life experience, Sunny is now able to identify with others firsthand and bring solutions to their problems. Children today are struggling with all forms of adversity. The adverse experiences that a child faces while growing up, makes them more likely to suffer physical and mental health issues later in life. Trauma like emotional neglect, abuse, a locked-up parent, an alcoholic mother or depressed father, are events in an adolescent's life that causes anxiety, addiction, depression, dropping out of school, gang life, gun violence and incarceration. But there is hope! Co-founders, Diana Bridges and Sunny, have created programs that will generate change in the youth who are our leaders of tomorrow. The mission is to provide them positive options and to speak to them through live presentations, without sugar-coating life's challenges; to show by example, when thrown a difficult situation; and how to overcome and make the best decision for a great outcome. Additionally, the foundation's Learn-to-Dream Scholarship Program keeps at-risk students pursuing higher education by providing funding towards college tuition and books.
