I believe it was Neil deGrasse Tyson I was listening to just about a month ago describing various forms of possible space travel which scientists have worked out the possibilities. One idea is using a large spinning device which creates a gravitational field that would draw in an object (space ship). As the ship moves into the force of the gravitational field it moves the gravitational force field creator forward, thus drawing the ship with it. It would look something like the planet Saturn. Theoretically, in space, there would be no end to the perpetual speed that could be accomplished, including way beyond the speed of light. "The Rotor" was the name of the ride at the yearly fair I attended I believe. The barrel spun fast while the floor dropped down. Trying to lift one's arm or leg while spinning did take an enormous effort. It always made me nauseous though. I guess I'm born to be earthbound, although I'd take a flight on a UFO if it was for free.
