Update – Free Summer Meal, Communications Survey, COVID Dashboard and More En español Dear NUSD Family, Welcome to June! Topics included in today's update are: Free Summer Meal Service for Children Under 18 Years of Age NUSD and NPD School Resource Officer Program Communications Survey for Parents COVID Dashboard Virtual Learning Academy Free Summer Meal Service for Children Under 18 Years of Age We are excited to share that NUSD Food & Nutritional Services will be providing free meals to children under 18 this summer starting on June 11, 2021.  Meals are available to any child in the Novato community at the Hill Education Center, 720 Diablo Avenue, Novato, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm Monday through Friday. Tables will be set up for an easy and convenient drive-through pick-up or walk-up service for meals to take home.  For menus and more information, please visit: https://novatofans.org/ . NUSD and NPD School Resource Officer Program On Tuesday, June 8, NUSD staff will make a recommendation to the Board about NUSD's School Resource Officer Program. Communications Survey for Parents Communication is important in our NUSD community and we want to identify areas for improvement. The survey takes about 10 minutes and we appreciate your time in answering the questions to help us improve our system. If you have different feedback for your children at separate schools, feel free to complete the survey again so we can capture your answers.  The survey will close on June 8, 2021. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2021CommsParentSurvey COVID Dashboard Starting June 14, 2021, with reduced staff and student presence on campus, the COVID-19 Dashboard will pause on reporting weekly numbers of COVID positive individuals during the summer break. Please note: Contact tracing and self-screening will continue as usual for all students and staff attending summer school programs and at NUSD work sites. Virtual Learning Academy Recently, we surveyed our VLA families asking for their thoughts and suggestions on improving virtual learning.  We wanted to know what worked and what didn't.  Here are the results of that survey.
