Male Neutered Shih Tzu for Rehome

Please do not flag for removal! We are genuinely trying to find a good home without kids for our shih tzu, Yoda, and hoping this post can connect us with a great home for him! Looking to rehome our 2 1/2 year old male neutered Shih Tzu. The reason for rehoming him is he hates/doesn’t trust kids and we have 2 kids. He is generally very sweet and loves to greet you when you come home and will snuggle up to you on the couch and generally enjoys being held/pet. He is crate and house trained and loves other dogs and to go for walks, car rides and play fetch. We are heartbroken to come to the decision that we feel we must find him a new home but he hates our son and our son is afraid of him. He is a great dog in so many ways and a total sweetheart 99% of the time, but we cannot trust him with our kids. We got him from a rehoming situation 2 years ago and we think that the prior family’s son abused/terrorized him and he can be fearful aggressive. We have tried to work with him for the past 6 months, but he still occasionally growls and has bitten both of our kids, although the bites have been minor. We think he would be very happy in an adult only house and would make a great and loyal companion dog. Rehoming fee of $250 to ensure you are serious and help ensure he doesn’t get into the hands of someone with bad intentions.
