UPDATE!!! Sam had a vet visit recently and has been losing weight! The vet says she looks good, other than still being a bit overweight. She is microchip, groomed, and is in fact losing weight and tumors are shrinking some. They will never go away but with a balanced diet and exercise they will shrink and she will continue to lose weight!! I’m looking to rehome my female blue and gold macaw. She needs a PET ONLY home. Not breeding quality, she has fatty tumors on her abdomen from a bad diet and poor housing in her past. These tumors do not affect her other than causing her to be a few hundred grams overweight. She needs a low fat fresh chop diet and daily exercise. She was a pet in the past and then paired with a mate but after finding her tumors she’s been separated and worked with. She is very friendly and social. She talks, loves head scratches, and is working on stepping up. With some one on one time and patience she will be a great companion. I’m asking $1000 for just her and I’m willing to deliver her within reason. Must prove you have a bird friendly home with a cage for her and knowledge of parrots.
