We appreciate donations any time of the year! Bring donated items to the customer service counter at the Santa Barbara County Animal Services’ Dog Shelter located on 5473 Overpass Road, Santa Barbara, during regular business hours Monday – Friday 9am-4:30pm (closed 12:30pm-1:30pm), Saturday 9am-3:30pm, Closed Sundays. Our WISHLIST can also be found on Amazon, under wish lists and is named the Santa Barbara County Animals. The Santa Barbara County Animal Services is grateful for the support of the community. The items listed below are used by our shelter volunteers and staff to help improve the lives of our homeless dogs during their stay at the Santa Barbara County Animal Services. 1. Kong squeazz ball (medium and large) is a dog favorite 2. Outdoor umbrellas, canopies, outdoor patio benches and cushions 3. Peanut Butter Creamy 4. Spritzer Bottles 5. Chamomile oil and lavender oil 6. Dog Flirt poll 7. Kong stuff toys or stuff toys for the strong chewer 8. Jerky Treats 9. Donate your time. We are looking for volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of our homeless dogs in our care. Volunteers play a key role in providing compassion to our dogs, and we work to create a positive experience for those who dedicate their time and energy to our dog shelter. Through collaboration and communication, staff and volunteers work together to create a positive and productive shelter environment, providing quality care to our animals and humane education to our community. Volunteers will lend their time, skills and talents to aid in providing enrichment, exercise, grooming, training, kennel cleanup, laundry, shelter organization, office work and special programs.
