Finnmark Property Services is a family owned business servicing the multi-family and HOA industries. We are looking for a working foreman with previous experience running projects in construction and renovation for our Capital Improvements department. Responsible for safety and oversight of field crew and sub-contractors, while working alongside them. Accountable for mobilizing awarded opportunities, timely completion of reports, professional communication, and capable to work with supervisors in managing all aspects of multiple projects from start up through final walk-thru at multiple locations. Essential Functions: 1. Assure all safety regulations and standards are met. a. Take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others. b. Report all accidents, injuries, near misses immediately, and participate in incident investigations. c. Facilitate engaging weekly safety meetings with crew. d. Maintain clean and orderly work areas. 2. Plan, coordinate and allocate tasks according to agreed upon project objectives. a. Responsible for prioritization of all site activity. b. Ensure quality standards met. c. Promptly address substandard work and be actively involved in the solution process. d. Relay pertinent information, updates and reports to direct supervisor on a daily basis. e. Ensure all work meets state, federal, or any other codes that apply to project. f. Anticipate problems before they occur. Resolve problems when they arise. g. Inspect completed work. 3. Supervision of construction crew, subcontractors, and machinery/equipment used. a. Leads and guides the work of these crews; provides training and monitors performance. b. Works alongside crew. c. Work with crew to solve problems. d. Lay out work for crews, track time, monitor attendance. e. Conduct interviews and hire qualified candidates. 4. Track and monitor job invoicing. a. Track labor and material costs to create invoicing for change orders. b. Track subcontractors change orders invoices. c. Approve suppliers and subcontractor invoicing. 5. Place, receive, and distribute material and supply orders. a. Assist in loading and unloading of materials. 6. Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget. Required Skills: • Carpentry experience. • Previous experience, showing successful results, of running a crew and projects. • Demonstrate willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction with positive and strong communication skills. • Lead by example in a professional workmanlike manner. • Integrity – honest and ethical. • Attention to detail – careful about detail and thorough in completing tasks. • Ability to communicate and report effectively. • Excellent organizational and leadership skills. • Positive and quick problem-solving skills. • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints. • OSHA – 30. • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
