Just wanted to post here for better visibility.
It stopped working a couple hrs ago around 3am. It’s a standing pedestal oscillating fan with 3 settings that’s last me for 6-7 yrs (used when I found it after someone left it behind after moveout).
ANYWAY, I know you’d just say it’s not worth fixing and just get anew one, because it’ll probably cost more to fix. While probably true, I’ve had it for awhile and I try not to contribute to the excess waste of the world if possible.
It overheated before shutoff, so I believe it just needs a new fuse and cleaning. I know it’s a simple fix for someone who fixes these things. What I’d REALLY love to know is how to fix it myself. Do it’d be even better if you don’t mind letting me watch and ask questions.
I’m broke at the moment, but I can pay for a new fuse and trade you for a bag of Oreos or other cookies of your choice for labor?
Serious replies only please.
