LANDSCAPE DESINER’S HELPER/ASSISTANT/APPRENTICE I am looking for an apprentice for help in landscape design and building. What we do is create gardens, landscapes, terraces, outdoor structures and anything having to do with outdoor environments in the Ulster County area. There is a good deal of physical work involved but all of it is great exercise and none of it is overly brutal or harsh. It is a great opportunity for anyone really and seriously interested in this field. Working directly with the owner of the company you will learn everything concerning plant, shrub and tree planting, growth, fertilization, pruning and expert maintenance as we also maintain properties that we have designed. We do not cut lawns but we plant and/or renovate them. Since we are the best in this business you will have a chance to learn design, maintenance and planting techniques far out of the realm of the ordinary landscape assistant in this field. Much of what we do is hand work so that we can achieve a far more sophisticated finished project although it’s helpful if you know how to operate a loader and backhoe. If you are a visual person as well as a dynamic worker, you will discover that your talent(s) will be very recognized and rewarded by a good salary.
