help . HOPE . heal - Survivors of Suicide Loss Conference This Survivors of Suicide Loss Conference is truly a day of TOGETHERNESS. There has been nothing of it's kind in our state and we are grateful to be able to provide this opportunity for individuals and families to come together. Suicide loss is a unique grief and our mission is to promote help, hope and healing among loss survivors in West Virginia. Our time together will be FULL of activities, speakers and experiences that promote hope, help, wellness & healthy living with grief. We are STRONGER TOGETHER... join us as we come together to help, hope & heal. This half-day event is hosted & sponsored by: The Next Step, West Virginia Council for the Prevention of Suicide, Brother Up & Prevent Suicide West Virginia. You'll hear firsthand from suicide loss survivors with similar experiences such as yours, as well as hearing from those with lived experiences who've personally struggled with suicide and mental health conditions. Our speakers will include those whose experiences happened decades ago, in addition to those more recent and the differences between then and now. Knowing what helps (and what doesn't) is a vital part for each of us individually in order to be able to navigate our journey as a suicide loss survivor in the world today. There is great importance in being connected to others in order to find peace and healing after suicide loss. Hearing from the perspective of others, being engaged in activities that promote wellness and HOPE links us together and makes us feel less alone. We will have a GOOD time together, we've already been through enough hard stuff. Getting yourself to attend will be the most difficult task, but we know you've endured things much, much harder. (Trust us - just come join us!) Our day will be full of activities and events that WILL help you in the days ahead.
