Knowing Newark Returns to in person! Learn more about a very special Newark and UD gem nestled in and around Townsend Hall and right next door to UDairy Creamery! The UD Botanic Gardens is an outdoor classroom and laboratory with a living plant collection of over 3000 species! The Gardens contain eleven different garden areas which are designed to educate students - and members of the public - about the changing relationships between plants and people. The July event will highlight the 2021 Landscape Trial Garden. After a brief introduction and tour of the Gardens, participants will be able to participate in a Q&A while sampling the latest ice cream flavor of the day! Space is extremely limited, and UD's COVID safety protocols will be observed.
