We are Sandmaiden Sleepwear, we produce womens knitwear in Bellingham and sell it in our busy Etsy shop at www.sandmaidensleepwear.etsy.com Presently we are hiring one part time stitcher. Candidate must have experience operating a serger and some experience sewing with stretch textiles. This is a permanent position that requires 3 months of training in my techniques. I'm offering training to someone who is looking for a permanent job in production and shows an aptitude for apparel construction, is tidy, responsible and likes to work independently. Hours are Monday to Friday from 1-5 or 12-4 Compensation is $16-$20 per hour (depending on experience) for the first three months of training and then you should be earning $20-$22 per hour (depending on performance). A craftsperson who has developed the skills I show you can easily achieve good results by approaching her work at a slow and steady pace. We offer up to 3 weeks paid time off and a bright and spacious work environment with lots of natural light in a downtown location with parking. There is one part time sewing position available immediately and one full time sewing and production assistant position that will be opening up in July or August with more diverse responsibilities.
