Field Crew Chief/Party Chief – This position supervises and directs the operations of the survey field party in the execution of a wide range of surveying and mapping assignments. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain clear and accurate field notes are required. A strong technical understanding of survey field equipment and data collection processes is required. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, a must. Past experience on structures, bridges, or heavy construction highly preferred. High school diploma and 3 to 8 years of progressive survey field experience required. Instrument Person/Operator - Experienced Techs support all survey fieldwork. Operates and maintains state-of-the-art equipment. Must be willing to work OUTSIDE for extended periods of time and communicate well with all party members. Will assist Party Chief and learn descriptions, coding, and techniques for data collection. Heavy FDOT, water management, and construction preferred. HS diploma and 1-5 yrs exp. required. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Travel is required in the local area.
