AtWork is seeking an experienced bilingual Apartment Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the property management team to ensure that all aspects of the apartment complex are in working order and that the highest level of curb appeal is achieved. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Ensure vacated apartments are in “make ready” condition for showing and renting • Perform plumbing tasks such as replacing faucets, resetting toilets and sinks, repair water leaks, and clearing clogged drains • Perform minor electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, and outlets, etc. • Conduct preventative maintenance work and safety inspections as needed • Maintains grounds and common areas, to keep clean, operational, and safe for residents • Handle residents’ complaints or problems in a positive and courteous manner • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols Required Skills/Qualifications: • 2 years of residential apartment maintenance experience • Ability to troubleshoot plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances, and other community systems • Knowledge of environmental/industrial hazards (i.e., asbestos, lead, mold, radon) as they apply to residential housing • Basic tools required • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment • Must be able to carry out orders and work independently
