Toastmasters In-Person Demonstration Meeting - Community of Believers About Toastmasters Toastmasters is an organization whose goal is to improve the communication and build the leadership skills of its membership. Community of Believers Toastmasters - Highlights of Club Goals and Dynamics • The club’s focus will be Christian apologetics, and its goal will be to develop confident defenders of and leaders within the Christian faith. Dynamics of Toastmasters meetings will be tailored to that end. • Membership will be made up of Christians that agree with the club’s statements of faith. • Meetings will be conducted regularly (1 hour once a week) where members learn how to plan and conduct them. At the meetings, members: o Deliver 1-to-2-minute impromptu speeches on assigned topics o Present prepared speeches guided by the Pathways education program. Project cover topics such as speech organization, vocal variety, language, gestures, and persuasion. • Members learn to offer constructive evaluations - Every speaker is assigned an evaluator who points strengths and opportunities for improving the speech.
