Operation Palmetto Employment is hosting a Military Career and Resource Fair for the Midlands We are excited to announce our Operation Palmetto Employment Statewide Career and Resource Fair to take place on Thursday, June 24th at the SC State Fairgrounds. This event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The first hour, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., will be dedicated to our Service Members and Veterans and resource tables will be available to share additional resources and benefits for them. The remaining hours will be open to family members and the general public. The SC State Fairgrounds have graciously open their doors to help our Service Members connect with quality careers from SC businesses. All industries will be represented to include IT/Cyber, Manufacturing, Law Enforcement, Healthcare, State Agencies, Transportation, Hospitality, Retail, Financial, and Insurance. Please share this information with your widest distribution list to ensure maximum participation from employers and resource organizations. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 24th! Launched February 2014 by the Governor’s Office, OPE is a statewide military employment initiative serving military job seekers and the employers who hire them, at no cost to either. OPE is a partnership among state agencies, military leaders, higher ed institutions, veteran service organizations, and private businesses. In the military, this type of group effort is known as a "fire team approach."
