Note from the directors of Euro-Fit..ness and Sports Camp We are so excited to introduce the Euro-Fit..ness holistic day camp for kids 5-14 and Counselor In Training opportunity for 15-18 y.o. The primary goal of Euro-Fit..ness programs is to give children the safe environment to develop their body within the limitations of their individual physical potential. Limberness, balance, coordination, strength, speed, endurance, spatial and body awareness are taught and achieved by each child. Older children will learn and practice leadership, mentorship, become role models while building their resume, and receive a college recommendation letter of their character. The program encompasses all aspects of kid’s performance - physical, mental and emotional. Young children can achieve a healthy body, as well as a positive, exciting and confident attitude about physical activities. Our program teaches physical readiness for any sport, mental strength and endurance as well as the importance of rest and meditation. There is no better time for this program. Over the last year kids have been physically inactive due to COVID-19, and in the past decade due to physical educational classes being cut from public school education requirements. This leads to inactivity or daily unstructured activities that result in a nonproductive expenditure of children’s energy. Our kids are overcome by boredom, frustration, social isolation, inactivity, weight gain, to mention just a few. The outcome: poor posture, depression, attention deficit, loneliness, and lack of endurance, speed, strength, and flexibility. We are most excited that this program has found a fantastic home- the beautiful Heirloom East Bay Farm. We are limiting the program to Castro Valley and San Ramon to encourage the reunion with all friends, from the same school, neighborhood and community before the start of the next academic year.
