SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury will begin reopening town buildings to the public in June, but a full reopening is still about a month away. Beginning June 14, residents will be able to start making appointments to visit town offices. On July 6, town facilities will be open in full. But when the buildings reopen in July, the town will be following a reduced summer schedule. Starting the week of July 12, most offices will be closed Fridays and open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays. Those hours apply to the assessor, HR, planning and community development, tax collector, town clerk, town accountant and veterans services. A number of other offices, including Select Board and Town Manager, will be open on Fridays. Others include: health department, fire, police, highway department and the Goodnow Library. Town buildings have been either closed or had limited access since the coronavirus pandemic began in 2020. Gov. Charlie Baker lifted all pandemic restrictions on May 29.
