TEXAS — A South Florida woman who was rescued from a Delray Beach storm drain after wandering the sewer system naked for three weeks in March, has been saved from a storm drain a second time. This second rescue took place at the end of May in Grand Prairie, Texas, where 43-year-old Lyndsey Kennedy wandered off from a rehab facility she was staying at, WFLA reported. She was reported missing on May 26 and found safe three days later, according to a Grand Prairie Police Facebook post. While looking for her, police saw her near a creek not far from her rehab facility, and she went down a storm drain as they approached her, reports said. Kennedy's family and friends were able to track her whereabouts underground using an app on her cell phone, WPEC reported. While she was missing, they dropped food and Gatorade for her into the storm drain and manholes in the area she disappeared. Four days after going missing, her mother and best friend found her safe in a nearby canal, reports said. Kennedy was brought to a hospital in the Grand Prairie area and placed under a psychiatric hold, reports said. Her family said she suffers from psychosis and PTSD because of a years-long abusive relationship. During her time missing in the Delray Beach sewer system in March, she told police that she went for a swim in a canal near her boyfriend's home. While swimming, she found a doorway near the shallow area of the canal. Curious, she followed a tunnel she found through the door and got lost.
