Join UF/IFAS Extension Polk County for an in-person class with tips on using a rain barrel in the home landscape to help conserve water. Explore how to reduce stormwater runoff by incorporating a rain barrel in your landscape. Learn how to create, install, and maintain a rain barrel in your landscape. For $25 you can take home your own pre-assembled rain barrel. The $25 registration fee includes one rain barrel. There is a free ticket option for those not wanting a rain barrel. Face coverings are optional for participants at this event. Registration is required and seating is limited. This event will be held outdoors. Workshop is presented by UF/IFAS Extension Polk County. We collect demographic information to ensure equitable access to Extension programs by all of our audiences. Each individual's participation is optional. Persons needing accommodations to participate should notify UF/IFAS Extension Polk County no later than one week prior to the workshop at 863-519-1068.
