Press release from the City of Framingham: June 4, 2021 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 06/04/2021 For further information, contact:Allyssa [email protected] (508) 532-6029 *COVID-19 UPDATE*Since Wednesday, Eight Residents have Tested Positive, 90* More have Recovered, and City Learns of One New Fatality Associated with COVID-19; On-Street Parking Meters and Parking Restrictions Based on Time will Resume June 15;Community Hour Tuesday, June 8, at 5 p.m. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives throughout Framingham;Reminder: City to Partner with V-Care and Metrowest Pharmacy for COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, June 5, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Butterworth Park Since Wednesday, eight residents have tested positive, 90* more have recovered, and the City learns of one new fatality associated with COVID-19: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is 8,332. With 7,646 recovered and 246 fatalities, Framingham currently has 440* active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps (contact tracing). In addition to the active cases, the Health Department is following 503 residents in quarantine. *Note: The City's COVID team is working in the State's data system to move lapsed or pending cases into the correct status.  On-Street Parking Meters and Parking Restrictions Based on Time will Resume June 15: Last week, a joint-order was issued by the Mayor and Board of Health rescinding certain Executive Orders, Joint Orders of the Mayor and BOH, and Orders of the BOH ("local orders"), attachment D. Effective June 15, the City will resume enforcing parking meter fees and parking restrictions based on time.
