Musician Looking to Start or Join Band

Musician looking to start or join a band, something near Dundee or Elgin. Haven't played out in 3 years, and starting to miss it. Looking to do originals, or a mix with covers. I can hold down either Bass or Guitar. As far as what type of music, I'm pretty open. I have been a music instructor for quite a few years (in my late 30s) and have done a variety of styles, however, not interested in Modern Country or Modern Metal. Styles I tend to lean toward and practice: Blues (can do a little bit of slide, but the chops are rusty) Classic or Doom Metal (Sabbath, Priest, Uncle Acid, White Zombie) Classic Punk (Stooges, MC5, Ramones, NY Dolls, Dead Boys) 1960s Garage Rock I also dig guitarists like Andy Summers of The Police. Lately for Bass, I have been delving into Motown stuff and getting a better understanding of James Jamerson's approach. Last band I was in was a Surf band. Go figure. Drop a line.
